The Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation’s Friends of Nursing Fund honors nurses who hold their patients and profession with the highest respect and care. These everyday heroes make a difference to those they care for and work with. Their attention to detail and dedication to providing the highest quality care make them heroes to patients, their families and other staff members.
The Friends of Nursing Fund was started to honor Baptist nurses who were named among the top 100 nurses in Memphis during the 1997 Celebrate Nursing activities. Since that time, other Baptist colleagues, physicians and patients have contributed to the fund, continuing educational opportunities for nurses throughout the Baptist system.
This fund makes it possible for staff nurses throughout the Baptist system to attend seminars, participate in research projects, receive reimbursement for specialty certifcations, purchase educational materials and gain other education and training opportunities.
